Loved the FE's and FC's, you couldn't kill them, even though many have tried ! The FE in the photo was driven by my bro and self from Melbourne to Clayfield north of Brisbane in 1972, with an enormous load than included 4 Speaker Boxes the size of Bar Fridges (and just as heavy) but we travelled trouble free. When refuelling at Warwick, the Servo bloke said "How far are you travelling ?" we said "Brisbane" He said "Don't like your chances with that load !" we said "We just came from Melbourne !" The bloke couldn't talk after that, just stood there with mouth open while he pumped petrol into the old Holden !
