Thanks for another insightful look at this facet of our motoring history. Unfortunately I think you've overlooked a nugget of the VS story... namely the series 3 VS ute that went on to be built along side the VT Commodore.The last hurrah for the Holden V8 ute being the 168 Kw and later the 179Kw roller cammed 304. The (toe in the water) introduction of the limited edition "SS" ute. Some 600 + built from May of '98 through to Dec of '99. Now when was the last time you saw an original and complete VS SS ute?!?
