Yes, Muzz1946, it would be wonderful to see your Phoenix, and other cars.The thing the Australian 1962 Dodge Phoenix had going for it was that by local standards it was still a BIG car, even though it had a shorter wheelbase than the Chevrolet Bel Air. The comparison was not with other American cars, rather with how much bigger it was than the Holden/Falcon/Valiant. And on that measure it stacked up really well and gained government fleet sales to transport politicians and senior officials etc. One thing I left out of the story, for space reasons, was that Chrysler was so rushed for time in getting the 1962 cars to the market that they decided to use the same roof and "C" pillars the two and four door body styles. This also saved costs and can be clearly seen in the two photos of the Dodge Dart, our Phoenix.
