In a way, I admire Harold Lightburn and his Aussie give-it-a-go attempts at making a viable cheap car but totally unsuitable for a country like Australia. It wasn't that much cheaper than the Mini 850, so really never stood a chance. The A30 Ute was cute enough, but as you say, eggman, totally useless for carting loads and it's no wonder they only made about 500 of them. There's a great display of Lightburns in the National Motoring Museum at Birdwood.
