Hello Jackie My, your 1953 Morris Minor brings back a lot of memories. I owned a 1954 Morris Minor whom I named "Mouse". Lucky for me I was working in Maclean in a bank at that time the nation was preparing to move across to decimal currency. As a teller, I bought a huge amount of coins from the bank at face value and sold them to coin dealers in Sydney, notably P J Downie. I made quite a few pounds, shillings and pence which was essential to keep up with the repair costs of Mouse! After a year's ownership I "up-graded" to a 1958 Hillman Minx Special.
