Thanks guys. Judging by recent comments from Holden's 'latest' sales and marketing manager (the revolving door is always kept well oiled at Port Melbourne) the ZB Commodore will continue as Holden's nominated race car, even though it's powered by a 5.0 litre push-rod V8 not available in the road car version. However, the fact Holden recently shelved its V6 twin-turbo race engine program, which was primarily designed to promote the ZB's V6 engine, suggests its future may not be long term. Other teams running ZB Commodores without factory support are publicly expressing great interest in switching to a Camaro body, which would make sense for Walkinshaw given its local RHD conversion business for these cars. And Holden has expressed its support for the inclusion of Camaro (hedging its bets maybe). So let's wait and see what happens, but I think the return of Camaro vs Mustang reviving the ATCC glory days of Jane and Moffat would arouse much more interest than Commodore vs Mustang.
