caraddiction, thanks for comment, the attached photo shows my Dad behind the wheel of a Mk.4 Spitfire he was working on for a Triumph Car Club member and I didn't get to ride in it but I was impressed with the upgraded appearance from early Spitfires and the woodgrain dash etc., I always thought the 2.5 Pi motor would have been a good transplant motor of great power-to-weight, with the Injected Six having plenty of poke in the heavier Saloons. Similar but better than the Vitesse coupes or even the GT6 engine. Good luck with your Resto, the end product will be a neat Sports car and fun to drive. The stronger Diff is a must, and I think half shafts were inclined to break in earlier models. (I snapped one in my Herald Coupe)
