I'm interested in the output of this thing but I suspect there are a few games / shortcuts going on under the hood. It doesn't seem to be doing a whole lot of thinking, just a lot of searching. If you use the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine as the start image, set it to 100% drawing influence it basically just returns the same image.
I've been using it this week, smackeyacky, to find out what it can do. You are right, when left on the settings you describe the AI will deliver what it "thinks" you want, obviously having searched across images on the internet. I've found that adding specific images in the "reference image" section and writing specific prompts will "ring fence" the rendering parameters. For example: Using using images from Dr John's Super Model story about the Facel Vega I asked for a "mid-sixties muscle car", and got the red sedan. Next I imported a few SUV ute images, and entered a prompt "SUV ute in desert." I then toggled back and forward on the "drawing influence" percentage and until I got what I wanted. The use I have for this software in my Retroautos stories is that it will render B&W line drawings and photos of clay models in colour. The result of 5 minutes work with it on a line drawing of a 1965 Pontiac proposal, with prompts to render a "mid-range sedan", "luxury sedan" and "sports sedan" are amazing.
