I was so inspired by Basil's Mk1 Windsor V8 Capri I built my own 'Oastler Special Vehicle' (LOL) years ago. Windsor 302, Borg Warner single-rail four-speed etc. The V8 drivetrain had plenty of room and fitted so well you'd swear the Mk1 Capri was designed for it. My 'OSV' Capri V8 was very light (1000kg) and very fast, just like Basil's Peranas! Wish I didn't sell it because the new owner wrote it off.
