Agree, SC in that '63 was a winner, but I think AMC's high point was 1964. They improved the front of the Classic and Ambassador and added a hardtop to the line. Even more importantly, for the first time in its history, the American had more than acceptable styling, rather than the awkward looks of the previous six years.
