At least BMC's Rotodip rust prevention system worked pretty well. My Elite, Freeway and 1800 all have minimal amounts of rust after over 50 years, but my 1978 Leyland Mini, built after the main plant closed, was badly rusted in the sills, floor and boot area after just eight years.
