The facelifted Victor of 1959 was a minimal improvement of the 1957 original. The vauxpedia website says that the 1959 car was how Vauxhall's design boss David Jones had initially intended the car to look. The US studios intervened and added some "improvements", which resulted in the 1957 visuals.
