Yes Pony, the R5 Turbo was a wicked little machine and very similar in design to other top cars of the Group B era which added all-wheel drive traction. Those included the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 with mid-mounted turbo inline four, the Lancia Delta S4 with mid-engine supercharged and turbocharged inline four and the MG Metro 6R4 (which stood for 6 cylinder, rear engine, 4WD) with mid-mounted non-turbo 3.0 litre V6. Each of these manufacturers were supposed to have produced at least 200 road-legal units (aka homologation specials) of these extreme rally machines with their space-frame chassis, lightweight composite bodywork etc which as you can imagine are highly sought-after today!
