I really love driving behind the wheel of my old 1988 w126 300se Mercedes. The wood work is astonishingly well finished to the point that it looks like plastic. THE CLOCK STILL WORKS FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!!!! The gauges are so easy to read even at night and the wheel is just so comfortable to handle.The Becker radio has almost idiot proof volume and search controls that don't need you to take your eyes off the road Even the shape of the dash cover is attractive. And the smell....leather and wool. what a pleasure. These old Mercs have so much cache that the new ones just fail to deliver.
