Chev62, of the 579 Pontiac Laurentians that rolled off the line in 1962, how many were 1961 models? Usually we were at least 6 months after the US, so some of these may well have been the previous model, while the 1962 models were sold into 1963. The Australian Laurentian brochure was printed in April 1962, whereas the 1963 brochure doesn't have a month in the print date. This is an extract from the 1967 Australian Year Book, with 1966 registrations. Would the Pontiac figures here include 1965 models? The (c) indicates that they are cars other than sedans, so I assume they are Hardtops. In another table, 18 Parisiennes were sold to the Commonwealth including the Defence Department. In yet another table vehicles other than cars, wagons and motorbikes include 3 Pontiac Ambulances or Hearses and 5 the year before in 1965. These are the only figures I have like this. Makes fascinating reading!
