I agree, DrJohn, that the Bristols were something else. They were sold in Melbourne by Commonwealth Motors in A'Beckett Street along with Citroen, but in the 1950 show guide, there is no mention of prices for either the 400, 401 or 402. This ad is dated April 26th 1950. Here are a couple of images from their combined brochure of about that time showing the chassis and the engine. I picked the book up from their London dealer in 1970 and they were charming as they let this rather scruffy Australian wander around their showroom.
