Hi all. Well I can now satisfy revisiting past motoring adventures being again the owner of a Renault 4L, following the success of my "wanted" request. Needing full restoration and with a ute-load of parts, it is the focus of conversations and fond recollections of our motoring in the 1970s. Memories include removing the front seat via two wing nuts to use it for outdoor seating at picnics, unavailability of tiny 135x13 radials, insects hitting us in the face via the dash-top air vents and our excitement in beating a tram off the mark at traffic lights (provided or "Reggie" had a rolling start). One question to contemplate: Was this the world's first Mini SUV?
