I have three favourite ads. The first is the Hey Charger ads just because it was such a simple yet effective concept. The second is the first Toyota "bugger!"ad. Especially when the dog tries to leap into the back of he Ute and it lands spreadeagled in the mud and says "bugger"! I nearly broke a rib from laughing. The last one is the VW beetle ad from the 60's. It's a poster ad not a TV ad but its premise was so unique and risky that it left an impression on me. At the top of the poster is a beetle and just below in big letters it says LEMON. Then down at the bottom in small print it says that it won't be seen on the showroom floor because the quality control at VW picked it up before it left the factory. Pretty game stuff.
