I attended the original auction for all the Force 7s in September 1975. The prices ranged from just over $6,000 to $10,100 which was for this one up for grabs now. A bit more than $10k in those days would have bought you an HJ Statesman Caprice or a Ford Landau, while $6k an XB Fairmont or an HJ Monaro GTS 4 door sedan. It was a sad day for any former employee of which there were a few of us. These handbooks were going for $5 each. Other cars were also auctioned off including a one-owner 1952 Sunbeam-Talbot 90 which was passed in at $500. I bought it from the owner at $250 a few days later.
