Apart from Honda ag-bikes in the early '60s, the first car I remember was a 1963 Nissan Cedric. They were farmers and traded an FC in for it. The Cedric was tough, beautifully made and came with good after sales service which made them wonder about Holden ownership. When they sold their wool in Geelong, they found their wool bales had been marked so that Japanese buyers could identify that the growers had bought a Japanese product. They never looked back and bought Nissan after Nissan after Nissan......
