Wonderful photos of the Falcon Skyliner, Lingus. I wonder where these cars are now? And I agree with you about the economics of developing a HR coupe. As I wrote in the article, Holden executives would have done their sums and realised that a HR coupe would not have been viable so they put all their development money and efforts into the HK Monaro. Interestingly, all Torana coupes were pillared and GM/Ford/Chrysler in the USA were quickly moving to pillared coupes by the early 1970s because of American regulations about roll-over safety.Same applied in Europe. I think the only two door pillarless hardtops now made in the world are the Mercedes E and S class coupes.(E class pictured)
