John Sinuks was entered (as a reserve) at the 3 May 1970 Warwick Farm meeting in a red Volvo 142S but it is not known whether he actually ran. He was also entered at the 31 May 1970 Amaroo Park meeting in the same car. Later the same year, the car was entered in the 6 September 1970 Warwick Farm meeting (Car #14). In this race, the car is clearly "Improved Production" based on the front air dam and wheel arch extensions. The Oran Park photo is undated but is likely earlier as the car appears unmodified. Close friends of Sinuks (not me) say he is recognisable as the driver. Also, there is a photo of a Volvo 140(?) at Warwick Farm in the Volvo book written by the Davis brothers. The driver is stated to be Gerry Lister but Sinuks maintained that the photo was actually of him. Sinuks passed away last year so the only available evidence is his archive of photos and race programmes.
