To me, the EJ and EH Premiers were absolute masterpieces in their sheer tastefulness and elegance. I think some motoring writer said an EJ Prem wouldn't look out of place next to a Jaguar in a Toorak garage. Combined with the metallic colours of the dash, the white steering wheel and leather trim, it was a credit to (I assume) the local designers. Also the Australianised Wolseley 24/80 Mark II with its Mercedes 220SE-like seats, traditional timber dash and carpets is another example of local talent. All three had great showroom appeal.
