Eggman and john192 - here are some examples of how anodised aluminium strips were used as extras to give your car a Christmas tree look as in the two BMC examples. Also how owners of EJ and HD Holdens could jazz them up with extra strips and painted panels. If you were a little embarrassed at your standard EJ, you could out-do the Special with a bit of extra glitz. Sorry about the quality of the EJ - I rescued it from a rubbish bin while working at BMC.....
