Of all the Premiers, the HK is my favourite. With its Toronado wheel arches, Buick "W" shaped (in plan view) front end, those much debated tail lights/reflectors and the exclusive formal Cadillac roof line I reckon it outclassed the Ford XT Fairmont. Here's a photo from very late in 1966. Note the "Executive" badge on the rear pillar. Were Holden thinking a super-luxury Premier? Had they got wind of the impending release of the Fairlane? Also, here's a rarely seen Holden publicity image. It firmly anchors the HK Premier as a car for rural duties!
