This has been on before, but this was the second flat tyre we had on a very used VC Valiant wagon on a trip between Brisbane and Sydney. All wheel nuts had been over-tightened with rattle gun, and we nearly gave up on the left side because we didn't realise they were left-hand threads. It meant me trying to hitch a ride into Singleton with the better wheel and tyre; eventually an old guy in a Series 1 Land Rover took me in and dropped me back while my mate was asleep in the car.
