Interesting find in some of the stuff collected over the years - this b&w photo is part of a press release from Chrysler International in Geneva describing the new 1961 Plymouth and Imperial. "Simplicity of line is the styling key-note from Chrysler this year, underlined here by the new Plymouth Fury and luxury Imperial. Rear view of the Plymouth shows the total disappearance of tail fins and horizontal front to rear line enhanced by a gently curving boot top. The Imperial's grille is classical in conception, flanked as it is by individual free-standing headlights". Whoever wrote it can't have been aware of the Imperial's huge fins on the non-simplicity of the Plymouth's front end styling!
