Great story, love hearing about any old Aussie cars, had one of these back in 1984, swapped it for an old Corolla, it lived on a bush track so was just full of dust, rattles, electrical gremlins and rust around the back window. I decided to do it up and as you can see by the photos I ripped it all apart and went right through it, new paint ( Port Wine), globe mags and specd up to GT engine. A great car to drive really cruisn' and quiet, I always thought the LTD stood for " Luxury Trim Design " but there you go, known locally where I lived as the Mafia Staff Car. Love your stories, Thanks
