I've only ever seen two or three A-S 236s - the first was in a London wrecking yard (breaker's yard in their parlance) and one on a joint run with the A-S Club and Austin Club back in the 1990s. I'm not sure if it was Manumatic or not..... I've driven a Sportomatic Porsche which took a bit of getting used to as the gear lever was very sensitive to the touch.
