1973 was a significant year, for being the end of one automotive era and the beginnings of another. The multiple effects of legislation and design rules impacted upon safety and emissions, all at a time when the first real world 'oil crisis' was taking place. In keeping with this thread topic, and although the car sold well in it's time, it's hard for me to think of the 1974-78 Ford Mustang II as a desirable classic ... take a look here at original brochure images of a red Mach 1 and a white Cobra II and then scratch your head as to where the pony car legend appeared to be heading ...
