Well, it is a one-off TVR, powered by the first iteration of Holden's 5.0 litre SV fuel-injected V8 engine ... and whilst it might resemble the TVR Trident, which morphed into the Trident Clipper, this car was created a decade or two later ... in 1988. It was specifically created for TVR's then owner, Peter Wheeler, but ultimately was consigned to deteriorate out back of the TVR factory buildings until rescued in 2004 just prior to Wheeler concluding sale of the TVR business. It was in part promoted into life by HSV and Holden's Engine Company, in an effort to generate some V8 engine export sales (a similar process was also attempted with De Tomaso in Italy) ... but Wheeler's wedge shape car was clearly reminiscent of a previous decade, and with a preference to sticking with local suppliers, TVR went on to develop the Griffith instead ... this one-off Holden-powered TVR is affectionately known as the "White Elephant" ...
