Shannons has assembled a world-class collection of American, Australian, British and European classics for its Sunday, July 10 auction at the Australian International Motor Show in Melbourne.

From the USA almost every Corvette model is represented, from a rare and beautiful Sportsman Red (converted to right hand drive) roadster believed to have been imported by GM-H for the 1954 Melbourne Motor Show (guiding range $110,000-$115,000), to a right hand drive 2007 Corvette Convertible ($88,000-$98,000).

Amongst those in between are a multi-award winning black and silver 1957 C1 'Fuelie' 283-cid V8 with three-speed close-ratio transmission ($100,000-$120,000), a stunning Silver Pearl 1966 left hand drive 427/425HP 4-speed manual Stingray Coupe ($120,000-$140,000), a 1964 (LHD) Stingray Convertible ($72,000-$78,000) and an immaculate 1991 right hand drive C4 Convertible with its 350-cid V8 mated to a T700 automatic transmission ($36,000-$44,000).

Also from the US there are three Mustangs - a left hand drive 1965 'Hertz Replica' Fastback ($34,000-$42,000), a 1966 Convertible ($42,000-$48,000) and a 2009 right hand drive 2F 'Bullitt' Coupe ($82,000-$90,000).

An appealing alternative for classic sporting Ford collectors is a stunning red right hand drive 1956 Thunderbird Convertible ($66,000-$74,000).

Aussie Muscle Car collectors are also spoiled for choice with the list headed by a Bronze Wine 1970 Falcon XY GT 4-speed manual sedan offered with no reserve ($45,000-$65,000), a 4-speed manual 1968 HK Monaro GTS 307 Coupe ($66,000-$74,000), a 1970 HT Monaro 308 Coupe ($60,000-$66,000) and a 1974 Torana SL/R 5000 L34 four-door sedan ($82,000-$90,000).

From the 1980s there is a brace of Group A SS Commodores - a 1985 VK (Build No 192 - $70,000-$80,000) and a 1987 VL (Build No. 120 - $50,000-$60,000), plus a 'made-to-order' 2007 VE HDT 'Retro VK' Utility (Build No. 1 - $70,000-$80,000). This is a unique opportunity to 'jump the HDT queue' for this sort-after current model Ute.

And for Holden racing fans there is the famous 1953 'FX' that Peter Brock raced at the 2006 Goodwood Revival ($300,000-$350,000) and a 1964 EH '179' race car ($70,000-$80,000).
And for those after something different, there is a 2001 Australian-built Roaring Forties GT40 Replica ($120,000-$140,000).

Italy is well represented by a brace of Ferraris - a black 1972 Dino 246GT ($170,000-$190,000) and a 1978 308GTS ($48,000-$56,000).

Germany offers three Porsches - a 1959 'Junior' diesel tractor ($22,000-$28,000), a former tarmac rally class-winning 1963 356C Coupe ($58,000-$66,000) and a 1965 rally-prepared 911 Coupe ($65,000-$75,000), while from the other side of Stuttgart there is an Australian-delivered and previously-restored 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300B Saloon ($42,000-$50,000) and a sought-after 1968 Pagoda-roof 280SL Convertible ($80,000-$95,000).

Finally from Japan there is a beautifully presented 1991 Australian-delivered Nissan GT-R32 coupe (one of 100 - $42,000-$48,000).
