History
The original Kieft de Soto was commissioned by an American roadracer, Erwin Goldschmidt. He provided the De Soto engine to the British Kieft factory. The car was sent to the States in 1954 and apparently destroyed in the 1980's.
This unique car was built here in Australia with the late Cyril Kieft's blessing, to the original Kieft factory spec, for Bill and Victoria Morris. Greg Snape built the car and Terry Cornelius made the body. It was finished in 2009, sadly just as Bill Morris passed away.
Victoria has used the car ever since at a variety of events after taking it to the UK in 2009. It was raced there at Goodwood, Silverstone and Donnington Park in Bill's memory. Here it has been raced by friends at many race meetings and is driven by Victoria whenever possible on the roads and to car events.
