I purchase the XY ute in 1977 from Bryan Byrt Fords at Mount Gravatt in QLD used it as a work car for many years it had a 200 motor in it it just keep going for ever .I found out it belonged to some one in warwick he had it brand new an traded it in at Bryan Byrt Ford in late 1976 i sure this car in the yard and said thats the one .in 1983 i fixed up a few things rust started to come out along the sills had to do some thing about it took it to a panel beaters shop down Rocklea way called Hansons Body Shop thay did a good job on it from then on things got a bit out of hand the paint was so good i couldnt leave it at that did all the upholestery up changed the motor to a 250 2v ran that for a number of years started to go to car shows in 1994 picking up trophys all over the place it made me feel good that all the work that i put in to it pade off i went to so many shows to the Gold Coast north to Cooroy.Now days it still goes to car shows even to day had the car in a ford mag to. but to day it is running a 351 winsor with a C4 Auto its going stronger then ever   The last of the 72 .
