History
Bought my W201 in 2009 on the Gold Coast with 145ks on clock then drove it to Perth with younger son. Auto trans since given $3 k overhaul then water pump & radiator renewed otherwise all good - now has 200 ks on clock. It’s not Aust. complianced - it’s Stuttgart spec so it’s a bit lower, a bit faster & uses a bit less fuel than my younger son’s Aust spec 190E 2.6. My other cars are: 1 an original 1958 190 sedan & even way back then with factory specified unleaded petrol. Lots of mechanical bits replaced but still with original body & trim in incredibly good condition, a shed find gift from my elder son 2. A 1983 Aust compliance delivered W123 280CE I bought in 2010. Mechanically good for another 20 years? I’ve replaced a fair few mechanical bits but the doors have rust as does the panel under the battery - otherwise another daily driver. (My nickname for the W123 model is: "war-tank with windows") Not unlike spouse’s diesel W163.....
