A funny story. I was cruising home one summer evening after work, left lane of the Monash freeway, windows down. A friendly Mercedes driver pulled along side and gave a friendly toot of his horn, I looked at him and gave a friendly smile and a wave. Then there was another toot and a frantic wave to pull over. Had some thing fallen off the "Old Girl"? The radio was a little loud. So we both pulled over into the emergency lane, he behind me. It was then he came running up to my window with his cheque book in hand wanting to buy my "Lotus Cortina". It was then that I had to brake the news to him that it was a lowly 440 with the "Lotus" stripe (although mine has more power). I also gave him the heads-up that Lotus Cortina's only have 2 doors not 4. Bummer was he said I could have named my price.
