History
This car was purchased as a rusty wreck in December 1991 and completely restored over the next 8 years entirely by myself. Since the completion of the
restoration it has been driven every day and has only let me down a few times.
The car is in a nearly constant state of improvement and modification .
Modifications
Fully adjustable suspension, front and rear. The rubber cones have been replaced with coil springs. The electrical system has been modified to have all circuits individually fused and heavily loaded circuits are controlled by relays. An original equipment heated rear window is fitted and a hazard warning lights have been fitted.
The engine was built from scratch using a NOS 1275 Moke block bored to 73 mm and fitted with a modified 1275 crankshaft and connecting rods. The cylinder head is a modified 12G940 item. The camshaft is a Russell RE13 driven by a double row chain with adjustable drive gear. Carburation is by 2 1.5" SU carburettors originally from a Triumph Dolomite. The brakes are 7.5" discs on the front with 4 pot aluminium calipers with Minifin drums on the back.
