Update for the Timbertown Festival and Car Show held on the 11th and 12th of June. After a very successful street parade on Saturday morning, the party continued at the show grounds.  Sunday morning we loaded up the Corinthian Blue Leyland P76 and met other club members in Dalby to travel convoy style out to Jandowae for the Car show.

We had a most enjoyable, trouble free trip, and arrived at the show grounds just after 8.30.  Here the marshalls took over and we joined exhibitors who had driven or trailered their cars from as far away as the Sunshine Coast and Northern New South Wales.   At final count over thirty cars were on display and there was something for all tastes, from hot rods to a very nicely turned out 911 Porsche.   The general public showed their support and braved the less than pleasant weather to come out and inspect the cars.

The P76 attracted lots of interest, some who wanted to know more and others with some good-natured jokes and one who asked if we could open the boot (for some reason the organisers had a closed boot policy at his particular car show) so that his son could see for himself just how much space was available.  All in all, it was a great day out.
