I've had the good fortune and priviledge of meeting some of our Aussie Motoring Legends over the years and thought I would share those moments here.

On Buderim Mountain in the best part of Australia (Sunshine Coast), there resides an amazing Private Auto Museum. Not normally open to the public except on special show days. It is Bowden's Garage and it has a serious collection of Australia's most significant vehicles and a whole lot more.

You get a ticket when you buy a bucket of their car care stuff. I have bought two now, just to see the cars and meet the stars. Once I got to meet John Harvey and recently Kevin Bartlett. The guys spoke of their cars and it was a memorable, personal experience. They start some of the cars up, like Beechey's Monaro or Geogs's Super Falcon . . . Here's a clue, buy some stuff and go see it, if you are a true revhead! (their cleaning stuff is pretty good too) http://www.bowdensown.com.au/ is their web site

Another time I met Allan Moffat at a car show where I was displaying Austang. He signed the radiator panel!! OMG how flaming awesome was that?

So I get to meet Colin Bond a year later at the Bowden's museum (that's a  third bucket of stuff purchased) and he signs the radio top as well. He sees Allan's signature and it has 2012 on it . . .  Colin signs and writes 2013 after it. Then he steps back and says, "I am bloody one behind again" . . .  then he burst out laughing :-)
