Cyclones Show & Shine $4000 donation to Townsville Diabetic Camp
Cyclones Rod & Custom Car Club President Wally Bawden and Vice President Trish Wallace were proud to have recently donated $4000 on behalf of the club to Townsville Diabetic Camp. We were advised that many young Diabetics were not able to go on the camp with other Diabetics due to funding restraints.
Cyclones were informed how important it is for young Diabetics to go on Camp so as to talk and share their experiences with other diabetics. One in 20 people now have diabetes and the youngers ones need support to learn how to best treat this disease so as to live a full life.
Cyclones originally expected to donate about $1500, however with a successful Show & Shine event in May 2008. as well as a donation of $2000 Trish Wallace recevied on behalf of disabled workers it made the overall donation a big surprise to the recipients.
