A very merry Christmas donation
Members of the Batemans Bay Rod and Custom Club, were elated to present a cheque for $2097.70 to the Batemans Bay Hospital Auxiliary on Tuesday. “This is the final installment of our fundraising money that the club collected for the Hospital” said the newly elected President, Ian Benton. “I rang Kath McDonald from the Auxiliary committee as soon as I had the cheque in my hand to advise her of the Christmas pressie and she was as happy as Larry. Club members both past and present, sold tickets throughout the year at the Village Centre for a fabulous ‘V8 BBQ’ which was drawn at our October event and we also received direct donations for them at our show ‘n’ shine at Corrigan’s Reserve” he went on to say.
Kath McDonald was very happy to accept the payment on behalf of the Hospital’s Auxiliary Club. “It is a real delight to receive this just before Christmas. We are always looking to purchase much needed lifesaving equipment so a large donation like this is very much appreciated. We are continuing our fundraising at the Village Centre with wrapping presents for the public for a small donation”. Kath said.
