A couple of 1940s slogans which got customers excited even if they had to wait a while for their new car - There's a Ford in Your Future, and When Better Automobiles are Built, Buick will Build them. Studebaker's 1947 line Best by Far with a Post-war Car was only good for a year, as by then everyone caught up with them. Chevrolet's Heartbeat theme was pure gold; previously 'Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrolet' was the inspiration for 'our' Football, Meat Pies, Kangaroos and Holden Cars'.
