Is Dodge’s Mustang Challenger too powerful for Oz?

IT MAY not have had the same amount of press coverage in Australia as the all-new Ford Mustang to be launched here next year, or the Holden-engineered Chevrolet Camaro that’s based on VE Commodore hardware.

But that doesn’t make the oldest American muscle car not currently on sale in this country – the Dodge Challenger – any less scintillating or desirable.

Just a few weeks ago, the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) – maker of the third-generation ‘Pony Car’ over the last six years – revealed details of the ultimate high-performance Challenger – the SRT Hellcat.
