Sought-after classic Indian and Harley-Davidson American motorcycles from the early last century are the stars of the 27 two and three-wheelers – 28 offered with ‘no reserve’ – in Shannons Autumn Timed Online Auction from May 23-30.

 

Keen bidding is expected for the oldest two-wheeler in the auction – a 1916 Indian Power Plus 990cc twin cylinder presented in restored condition which is expected to sell in the $60,000-$70,000 range,

1926 Indian Big Chief 1200cc Twin Motorcycle

While bidding for another early Indian – a 1926 twin-cylinder Indian Chief 1200cc, is likely to start at $48,000.

c1942 Harley-Davidson WLA 750cc Motorcycle

Two great Harley-Davidsons – a sought-after restored 1929 HD 1200cc solo with ‘no reserve’ is expected to make $45,000-$55,000, while a popular 1942 model WLA 750 should sell for $20,000-$25,000.

1934 Velocette 350 KSS Mk1 Motorcycle

From Britain, a very desirable low-slung and fully restored 1934 Velocette 350 KSS Mk1 has a selling range guide from $25,000-$35,000.

1974 BMW R90/6 and Watsonian Sidecar

Two German BMW motorcycle outfits are also expected to make good money, with a 1956 R50 with a period Steib sidecar in excellent condition is expected to change hands for $40,000-$50,000, while a 1974 black R90 also with a Watsonian sidecar is likely to sell for $15,000-$20,000, and offered with NO RESERVE.

1954 Sunbeam S7 Deluxe 500cc and Stieb Sidecar

Across the Channel, a 1954 Sunbeam S7 DeLuxe 500cc motorcycle with a Steib sidecar inspired by inspired by the BMW motorcycles supplied to the Wehrmacht during the Second World War, is likely to sell for a more affordable $16,000-$20,000, also offered with NO RESERVE.

1988 Honda ATC 250ES Super Red 3 wheeler

The other ‘three-wheeler’ in the auction is a Honda ATC 250ES Super Red offered with ‘no reserve’ and expected to sell for $4,500-$6,500.

Other ‘off-road’ bikes are a 1974 Honda XL250 Motorsport ($4,000-6,000), while for younger enthusiasts a Honda XE50 ($3,000-$6,000) and a 1974 Honda XL70 ($4,000-$6,000) represent good buying.

High performance motorcycles for sale are headed by a desirable 1988 Ducati 916 Biposto (28,000-$32,000), and four Japanese performance bikes – a 1985 Suzuki RG500 ($24,000-$30,000), a 1981 Honda CBX1000 ($20,000-$25,000) and a Honda CB1100FD ($8,000-$14,000), while a 1991 Suzuki GSX-R production racing bike is expected to be bought for just $10,000-$15,000.

For bargain hunters, a very desirable 1985 Moto Guzzi V35 Imola 2 motorcycle is offered with ‘no reserve’ with the expectation of a $8,000-$12,000 sale, while a 1976 Kawasaki Z650’ Modified Z750 in project condition is predicted to bring $7,000-$10,000.

1960 Moto Guzzi Stornello 125 Motorcycle

Finally Moto Guzzi enthusiasts will be bidding for a rare 1960 Stornello 125cc solo that is presented in lovely unrestored condition with a great patina, previously exhibited at previous Motorclassica concours event. It is expected that is slated to sell in the $8,000-$12,000 range.
