History
Extremely original survivor car that had been living in a Albany shed for years. Im the third owner.
23000km on the 5 digit odo, judging by the way it drives maybe 123000, but definitely not more. Lots of lovely red velour, some real rosewood and some genuine plastic walnut veneer :) and a peeling vinyl roof!
Such originality presents a problem for me - the 'better than new' restorations don't appeal to me, I want to USE the old girl - Ill probably just stop the rust, repair the rusty bits, stop further deterioration, do some reversible mods and keep the 42 year old patina
Modifications
None! Some upcoming though, sitting in the garage awaiting the time to fit:
Front struts modified to be platform coil-overs.
Re-drilled half shafts and billet aluminium front hubs to change the PCD to 5 x 120 so my set of gorgeous original first gen 17*7.5 BBS RK's will bolt on
BMW 750i front discs with FC Rx7 four-pot calipers, DS2500 brake pads
Rx8 electric leather seats
Rx8 6-speed gearbox
That'll do for now, although a turbocharger is a possibility
