Shannons Supercar Showdown - Seasons 1 & 2

The Shannons Supercar Showdown Reality TV series was first introduced in 2011 and was an exciting new concept, taking 10 young up-and-coming race drivers from around the world and pitting them against each other in a series of challenges as an elimination process to earn a seat in Australia's greatest motor racing event the 2011 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

The winner was 17 year old Cameron Waters who at the time of winning the competition did not have a drivers licence, and generated nationwide coverage as the youngest driver ever to compete in the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

Shannons Supercar Showdown Season 2 built on the reality shows popularity and successful format with Rick & Todd Kelly of Kelly Racing partnering in the series for a second year as both judges of the series and overseeing the preparation of the winners car for Bathurst 1000.

After an exciting and challenging series the winner of series 2 was Jesse Dixon just 19 years of age. Jesse teamed up with Shannons Supercar Showdown Season 1 winner Cameron Waters for their assault on the 2012 Bathurst 1000.

In teaming up the two Supercar Showdown winners set another record of being the youngest ever driver pairing to compete in the Bathurst 1000.
