By the time Cadillac executives had accepted they’d have to use the rear wheel drive Nova platform it was December 1973. This gave stylists a very short time period to fit the La Scala/La Salle proposals onto the Nova package if the 1975 released date was to be met. One of the variations was shaped by Stan Parker. It had a near vertical rear windscreen, courtesy of an intervention of Bill Mitchell who had returned from a visit to London and, after supposedly seeing a Rolls Royce, ordered Parker to steepen the angle of the rear window. 35
