By Shannons - Published on 27 September 2016

Fletch travels to Emerald in Central Queensland, 250 km's west of Rockhampton for the 2016 Emerald Outback Classic Show & Shine put on by the Emerald car Club. There are over 200 cars on display and Fletch picks out just a few to demonstrate the diverse range of vehicles on display at this community event. Firstly there's Warren with a fully rebuilt 1934-36 Chevy Pick Up Truck with a 1950's fibreglass caravan in tow, and Warren who managed to bring not just one vehicle, but four vehicles to the Show including a lightweight modified Cortina, a HZ Holden Ute, a Pontiac Parisienne and a Pontiac Firebird. Then there's Dave with his fully optioned 1935 Plymouth with twin side mount spares and dicky seat, Peter the Tourism Development Manager for the Central Queensland Region and his every-day cruiser a 1963 Ford Fairlane and finally Carl with a 1969 HK GTS Monaro 1963. The spirit of the regional community is on display with people travelling some distance to be part of this yearly event.
