Bowral Enthusiast & Carlisle USA Chevrolet Nationals: Classic Restos - Series 45

By Shannons - Published on 04 December 2020

There is something for everyone in this week's episode. Ever wondered about the process of epoxy resin finishes on concrete floors? Fletch gets the inside word from epoxy floor specialist Michael from MDK Platinum.

Express from the USA to Fletch is a highlights video from the 2020 Chevrolet Nationals in Carlisle Pennsylvania including the Chevy Nova, Montecarlo and the all-new C8 Corvette.

A long way from Pennsylvania but a lot closer to home is Bowral NSW enthusiast, Victor. Victor's home away from home is his shed with a couple of fully restored trucks. Victor's first love a 1942 Ford Truck powered by an ever-reliable side-valve V8. Named ' Little Hallie' after his granddaughter, it has a long history in the family. Originally owned by his father and acquired when he turned 18 and got his license back in 1969. Today it takes pride of place in the garage and is driven regularly. Another classic is a little unusual, a Ford Blitz primarily known as a wartime vehicle but used for logging in the district. The truck history had a link to this father, and Victor decided to strip it down and restore it to its original condition. There is not many of these like this anymore. Victor believes his hobby and shed or palace as he refers to it, is a great way to overcome the pressures of the day, hours of pleasure doing the things you enjoy most. For Victor that's tinkering with his trucks.
