7th Isabella and Marcus Fund - Classic Car Day: Classic Restos Series 34

By Shannons - Published on 12 May 2017

Fletch says this is one of the most heartfelt events on the motoring calendar now in its 7th year - The Isabella and Marcus Fund  - Classic Car Day with over 600 cars attending to support this worthwhile charity. Importantly it's not run by a car club, but by the parents of children who have died from Brainstem Cancer.

The motoring community are out in force in support of this charity and Fletch is out and about talking to passionate enthusiasts like Caroline with her classic 1955 VW Beetle, Neville and his very rare 1964 VW Kombi Split Window Double Door Micro Bus, in Concours condition after a 2-year restoration with only a few details to be completed. Then we catch up with Werner and his fully restored 1954 300B Mercedes-Benz, that has featured at Motoclassica in Melbourne. Con with his family owned 1973 Ford XA FT Falcon Coupe that was passed down from his father, so effectively one owner since 1973. The Classic Car Day includes car, bikes and trucks too. Nobby returns again this year with his Honda 400 Four motorcycle and entertains Fletch yet again. The whole day is about raising funds for Brainstem Cancer Research and Fletch presents cheques on behalf of two Cars Clubs, The FX-HZ Holden Car Club of Geelong with $3,000 and the Old School Street Cars of Geelong with $500. Fletch extends thanks to all those who attended and donated generously to this amazing charity.
